Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl |
A Cat’s Eye is one of the most unique looking gemstones available. When cut as a cabochon, a silky band of light extends across the surface of the stone. This effect is called chatoyancy. It is caused by inclusions of slender mineral fibers in the gemstone that reflect light. Physically, Cat's eye is said to alleviate pain and suffering caused by arthritis or other joint-related health problems. Folklore also says that Cat's Eye transforms negative thoughts into positive energy, bringing happiness and serenity, optimism, generosity and confidence. They are said to enhance creativity and kindness as well as induce positive thoughts and promote concentration.
